Harold Gresley On the Edge of the Wood, Ingleby Harold Gresley was a Derbyshire landscape painter. He was the son of Frank, grandson of James and brother of Cuthbert Gresley, all of whom are well known for their excellent quality watercolours of the Trent Valley, and the hilly landscapes of Derbyshire. He studied at the Derby School of Art in 1912, as well as at Nottingham in 1919 under Arthur Spooner. He later attended the Royal College of Arts, London. Harold taught art at Repton School and lived at Chellaston near Derby. Price Band: A up to £2,500 |
