George II Walnut Bureau

A fine quality George II walnut and feather banded Bureau retaining excellent original colour and patination throughout. The fall opens to reveal a leather writing surface and a fitted interior consisting of a central cupboard, four drawers, eight pigeon holes, two secret drawers and a well. Having two short and two long oak lined drawers with crossbanded and feather banded decoration. The whole is raised upon the original finely moulded ogee feet. A handsome piece of small proportions veneered in excellent cuts of figured walnut and of wonderful original colour and patination. C1740.
