Regency Work Table

An elegant Regency fiddle-back mahogany Work Table of good original colour and patination. The well-figured mahogany top with ebony stringing and yew wood crossbanding to the edge. The single drawer is fitted with a baize-lined writing slope and concealed pen and ink drawer. To the right hand side is located a work drawer with silk covered basket beneath. The whole is raised on elegant turned tapering legs, terminating in original brass cup castors. Good colour and original patination throughout.  C1820.
